Experience in audio/hosting is not required! Paid training is provided following the receipt of your official offer letter. Being a KAR MC is all about bringing positive energy to the mic and being able to communicate in an efficient, organized, and enthusiastic manner. Kids Artistic Revue, Inc. is a professional production company that produces dance competitions and hosts about 200 live events per year. We are excited to recruit more team members to join our family to develop professional experience with live productions, as well as create unforgettable memories with other ambitious and talented individuals!

Kids Artistic Revue, also known as KAR, is one of the nation’s most prominent dance companies which generates multiple dance competition tours, dance conventions, multimedia productions, dance wear apparel, charity events, and award shows. With a reach of over 500,000 dancers annually, we take pride in providing a platform for aspiring dance talent and enhancing the visibility of dance entertainment in popular culture.

We are currently seeking a highly energetic Emcee for our dance competition tour. We are looking for enthusiastic, upbeat and entertaining individuals. If you love to work with kids, and can work long hours with a limited amount of sleep, then this job is for you!

THIS IS A PART-TIME/SEASONAL JOB.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Loading in & breaking down event set up.
  • Set up & wire all audio equipment. Sound check all microphones.
  • Announce performances to the stage
  • Entertain dancers & audience members with high energy 
  • Emcee is the VOICE of the show, not the FACE-no stage time 
  • Controlling audio board levels for all channel levels: microphone, iPad, & laptop
  • Must be able to maintain schedule of the show.
  • Ensure enthusiastic announcements throughout the show.
  • Keep the dead space of the show filled with promoting tour merchandise sales
  • Maintain professional & effective dialogue with all team members via radio communication
  •  Be cooperative with teammates & take direction from event director
Experience / Qualifications
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Must work well under pressure
  • Must be a dedicated team player
  • Must be a good problem solver
  • Must be able to troubleshoot equipment
  • Able to sit for long periods of time. Weekend work hours average 30-60 hrs.
  • Must be available to travel Thursday mornings through Monday mornings.
  • Must have a valid government-issued ID or Passport.
  • Touring experience is a plus, but not a requirement.
  • Previous broadcasting experience is not a requirement, but it is definitely a benefit.
COMPENSATION

DOE – $200 – $1000 per event $16-$18 per hour. Position to begin in February 2024.
